Overview
Ambric's Massively Parallel Processor Array (MPPA) architecture represents a revolutionary new way to realize high - performance computing requirements. Unlike many other reconfigurable platform  vendors, Ambric defined the software model first and then developed the hardware around that model. That software model, called the Structural  Object Programming  Model (SOPM), enables developers to lift their “white board” design directly into  Ambric's aDesigner Tool set with very rapid results. Ambric’s MPPA platform is an ideal replacement for designs that  use multiple FPGAs or DSPs. These designs historically  have required excessive time and complex  design effort  to bring to market.
